Due to request from USA engine builders who want to choose special parts, we sell this engine without any Muffler, Head or Carburetor!  This allows you to choose the external components you want without paying for something you don't want. 

After a year of observation and testing we have finally approved the Avenger 85 engine that the YuanDong factory in China has been making for the past year. 

Regardless as to what some people may say YuanDong is the exclusive CHINESE manufacture of the Avenger engine.  The same factory that has always made our SkyHawk line of 2 stroke engines for over 21 years.    Look for the YD logo on both halves of the crankcase to ensure authenticity.   Other Chinese factories will soon learn to copy the YD Avenger 85 design so beware of fakes.

The Avenger 85 is a true 85cc displacement HIGH PERFORMANCE 50 MPH Plus engine with a 52mm bore and 40mm stroke.    Yes, this engine competes directly with the Phantom 85 sold by our friendly competitors. 

FYI:  Gru-Bee has elected to NOT SELL the standard A85 cast engine head along with engine DUE TO COOLING AND FITTING ISSUES which allows the customer to choose the CNC head they want.    

We have designed a HP CNC billet head that gives a 0.9mm squish and 6.7cc hemispherical combustion chamber volume.  Sold separately and coming very soon.  See our HP CNC 85A HEAD ad!

The YUANDONG RIVET muffler likewise did not meet our standard of quality, too heavy and rivets soon shake loose. 

We recommend the end-user purchase of a quality plenum expansion chamber exhaust system like that made by Wali at RHM, unfortunately he is currently sold out.   

For those who do not demand extreme performance but want to diminish exhaust DB's sound level we offer a plain jane chrome header pipe with 1/2npt threads to enable screwing in a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine muffler available at local Hardware stores like Tractor Supply or ACE Hardware.  Light weight and sturdier than the OEM Avenger 85 version but maybe not so quiet.   See Pic. The engine retains the stock 25-degree timing.

• Included is our HIGH FLUX DENSITY NEODYMIUM TZ ROTOR MAGNET IDENTIFIED BY THE EXCLUSIVE CROSSHATCH PATTERN.   

• Included is our ALL RED TZ CDI with HIGHER MICROFARD CAPACITIOR FOR INCREASED VOLTAGE TO THE SPARK PLUG.  NOTE: Other Avenger sellers do not include the CDI when selling engine only. To avoid a mix match, it is Important to have a balanced ignition system from the same manufacture.

My Wife's retired brother inspects at the factory what you expect and yes that's not 100% perfect but it's a lot better than no inspection at all when you consider piece worker's pay is the same for making defects as it is for making zero defects.
